Renee Schulte will focus her efforts for PolicyWorks in the areas of human services and health care.
Renee served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2008 through 2012. During that time she earned accolades for her work on the state’s mental health redesign plan moving from a county by county basis, to a regional system. Renee also worked for Four Oaks of Cedar Rapids providing needs assessments and strategic planning to help the non-profit prepare for future growth in child welfare and children mental health services. The Iowa Department of Human Service contracted with Schulte in 2013 and 2014 to write the administrative rules to implement the mental health redesign on evidence based practices, based upon the law she worked to pass. The North Dakota legislature contracted with her for a strategic needs assessment and redesign plan to improve mental health services in their state. In Iowa Renee has continued to provide strategic planning consulting services to local non-profits, as well as the East Central Region to implement the Iowa mental health redesign plan.
Schulte has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology.
