Introducing a new kind of summer camp by Google

Camp Google - imageIntroducing Camp Google! Starting July 13th, Google is launching Camp Google - a free four-week long online camp for kids everywhere ages 7-10.

At Camp Google, we believe that learning can happen anywhere, and all you need to do to get started is ask a few questions and be ready to explore the world around you. That’s why we spent time with Google engineers and the Khan Academy to put together content that answers some of kids’ most exciting questions: ”What lives in the depths of our oceans?” “Where does lava come from?” “Why does music make us move?” “How do people live in space?”

Every week, kids will unlock the answers to these questions using a range DIY science projects. After kicking off their exploration online, Camp Google encourages kids to go beyond the screen, and explore the world around them.

Kids can partake in a range of activities to help them grasp the concepts they learned as they complete educational projects from easy-to-find supplies, most of which you should already have at home. As kids complete projects and activities (led by real experts like divers from National Geographic, a National Parks ranger, NASA astronauts and scientists, and Google engineers), they’ll earn camp badges.

So mark your calendar for the start of Camp Google on July 13th, and start spreading the word to parents of curious minds - we look forward to seeing you at Camp!
