As PolicyWorks’ Political Action & Grassroots Advocacy Coordinator, Gwen will focus on strengthening grassroots advocacy efforts and supporting political action for Iowa's credit unions. She will work to build relationships with key stakeholders, organize advocacy initiatives, and assist in political action fundraising efforts to ensure the continued success of credit unions in Iowa.

Before becoming apart of the PolicyWorks team Gwen was a Field Organizer for Jon Tester’s 2024 Senate Campaign, where she learned to embrace grassroots campaigning and involve local communities, volunteers, and supporters to become advocates for Tester. Prior to moving to Montana, while attending the University of Iowa, Gwen spent time interning with the Domestic Violence Intervention Program with both shelter and legislative work.

Gwen graduated from the University of Iowa in May of 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication Studies, as well as a minor in Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies. Outside of PolicyWorks, you can find Gwen spending time with her friends and family, exploring Des Moines, and scouting the latest book releases.
